c you're a cutie full of charm
Aug. 16th, 2008 11:21 pm1. I tidied up little E.'s bedroom this evening, releasing a considerable amount of floor space, and when I went up to read her a story, she'd got out her dolly picnic set and there were a couple of bears, a snow tiger and a little girl doll, all sitting around the dolly picnic looking hungry. We fed them wooden pineapple chunks and tea from a china pot, and then E. put the little girl dolly to bed, brushed her hair and read her a bedtime story.
Tomorrow I may be making the little girl dolly a new bed and an armchair, and also constructing a full-on dolly picnic. Mini ham sandwiches and snack size cookies, I think.
*iz tragic*
Tomorrow I think I will photograph the snow tiger.
2. We are looking after two rats, Molly and Meg, who are 19 times more clever than our gerbils, and a lot less fluffy. P. cleans out their cage every day and they sit above him, poised to leap onto his back and rip his throat out. *shakes off shudder*
3. Bought 'The Chalet School in Exile' from the local second-hand bookshop that specialises in children's books. Yes. I may just go and read that again now.
4. Watched the BBC.co.uk highlights of the Olympics and cried over the British 800m swimmer.
5. Made my mother-in-law watch Enchanted. Egads, it's good. Then, for no particular reason, we sang 'A, you're Adorable' to little E. Who is.
PS I'm a lot more cheerful now I've given up the internet. Ahem. Yay!
