Fangs
Finally went to the dentist to sort out a new veneer for one of my front teeth. The old one cracked in half when I was eating a muesli bar. That'll teach me to dabble with health food.



My practice is at the dodgy, low-rent end of town and specialises in cosmetic dentistry, so help me. They really know their market. Videos of unattractive people being made over with crowns, bleaches, veneers, implants, aaaargh, play constantly in the waiting room, waiting for all those white-trash British patients with their crooked grey teeth to walk in. Anyway. I have the choice of an NHS veneer made by a sullen work experience student in low-grade plastic, using an own-brand colour chart, just after he's had a row with the boss, or I can have it hand-tinted in the finest porcelain by a master craftsman and his band of tooth elves.

For a price.

*sigh*

Bleaargh
All this counts as nothing much next to a series of quite horrible health things happening to friends right now. I won't go into it but but I think there must be something very nasty in the water. I know some of you have been having it very rough too. *hugs* I really hate nature.

On a happier note:

Fashion
I have bought a black top from the much-hyped Kate Moss at Top shop range, having fallen into Top Shop by accident yesterday. Was very unsure about it (hideously low-cut, billowy vest-top thing) but it was lovely material and I thought it might work through osmosis; also, only thing in collection that would look even slightly acceptable on my non-Kate-Moss proportions. Got it home yesterday, checked the Top Shop website and realised I'd been wearing it the wrong way round...Am now proud owner of billowy low-backed vest top.

Also, bought linen/cotton flares from Next, in white and in tobacco brown. £18!!! They're giving them away!

The white is a really stupid choice, but I think as long as I wear strong colour on top I can get away with it. (Actually, you know you're in trouble when the model looks fat). But yay! Ready for summer!

Invent a memory of me and post it in the comments. It can be anything you want, so long as it's something that's never happened. Then, of course, post this to your journal and see what people would like to remember of you, only the universe failed to cooperate in making it happen so they had to make it up instead.

Oh, and the beautiful red silk dress you wore, with the silver sandals. You looked so beautiful. you should make sure you contact the model agency who were circling you.

(Alcohol tolerance might be stretching fake memory too far :D)

lol... actually, model agency circling me would be stretching it way too far... unless they were doing a cetacean nature shoot; as with the red silk dress, unless someone was recycling a hot air balloon - Might just about get reasonable coverage with one. :D

We do rule!

ps. and I'm working on the alcohol tolerance. So far, it's improving. But damn it's taking a lot of work.
