For the last 2 years, I've been growing my hair out from an extremely short layered urchin-cut thingy to the present apology for a hairstyle. My (straight, auburn) hair is now about bob-length, 2-3 inches above my collarbone. Everyone else seems to like it; it's also been rather nice having different hair after all those years of increasing severe pixie cuts. If pixies can be severe. ^^

However. I now officially hate it. It's horrible. If I wash it and leave it to dry naturally, I look like a bag lady; if I blow-dry it, the growing-out layers ping outwards and after half a day of loveliness, I look like a bag lady once again. One strand of my fringe just curls upwards and out for no apparent reason, revealing a worried, entirely Botox-free forehead. Ewww.

It's also bloody dry. I've never had dry hair before. I'm using the best part of the Middle East's oil reserves trying to condition the bastard, but it's not working.

o.o

I'm beginning to look about as bad as when I went from shoulder-length to urchin cut in the first place... Actually, I look a bit like Anna Wintour with a bucket of water poured over her. Except less pouty.

What am I doing wrong, oh f-list? I want to be lovely.
