I've spent the last day or two catching up after a netless weekend driving to family parties. Also, the real world is rainy and frightening. Doctors delivering carbombs? Fucking hell.

In the midst of it, on LJ: a minority carping about bloody nothing. I am going to come round and personally slap some of you moany writers. I *know* your fans are irritating and write irritating messages/the wrong sort of messages/constant pleas for updates but will you JUST BLOODY GET OVER IT. Or on with it. It may come to the same thing.

Why yes, yes, I think the fact that moany self-entitlement was sandwiched between some very upsetting posts from people having hard times may be making me tetchy.

Zen master [livejournal.com profile] f4f3 wrote a list of 10 good things happening in his life, so in the spirit of positive thinking, I'll add my list. More like 10 reasons to be cheerful about summer.

1. Justin Timberlake!!! Eeeek! On Thursday! *clutches tickets*
2. Seeing David Yates' Order of the Phoenix, while avoiding joyless reviews by hacks
3. Damien Rice, the Arcade Fire and many more (all at the same time, aargh) at the Latitude Festival.
4. DEATHLY HALLOWS!! *cough* I have been re-reading HBP very slowly and carefully, and admiring it greatly. I'm all set. Oh, can't remember if I've said but have removed potentially spoiler-lovin' journals and communities from my default view.
5. Going to Wales with the tinies purely to ruin the peace and tranquillity of [livejournal.com profile] ravurian's sekrit hideaway. :D. Er. We'll be good, honestly.
6. Camping at a mini-festival in Surrey and watching open-air cinema in a water garden.
7. South of France! In a caravan!!
8. Martha Jones. MWAHAHAHA.
9. Scissor Sisters! Again! Now with one spare ticket!
10. RESPONSIBLE POVERTY-STRICKEN BABYSITTERS! For the win, as they say.

What's your list?
