May. 8th, 2008 05:22 pm1. Am in Glasgow. The taxi driver got out of his black cab, carried my bags, made sure I was OK, and thanked me profusely for the chance of a £2.50 fare. 0.o
*falls down dead* I've been away too long.
2. People are lugubrious and sarcastic, and keep bringing me shortbread.
3. Fell asleep last night over Stephanie Meyer's Twilight, which is hideously unrealistic, has SHEDLOADS of UST and has a real fanfic vibe. It's reminding me hugely of Georgette Heyer and Victoria Holt in that it makes you fall for characters who'd be total fucktards in real life...Can't.put.it.down. Halfway through. Think I have spotted the future plot twist.
