three or four reasons to be cheerful
Mar. 17th, 2008 08:26 pm1. Tomorrow's presentation - 50 miles away, and very early in the morning - got cancelled at the last minute. YAY!

2. I FOUND A PLASTERER. WHO IS COMING ON FRIDAY. AND IS CHEAP. AIIEEE YAYYYY!

3. Accidental baby gerbils!!
Our new gerbil ('Of course it's a male!') had 6 tiny babies on Friday. I found them when I staggered back on Friday from a beautiful but very gloomy memorial service. I should be cross, or brisk or something, but it's just very sweet. The babies are making little eeping noises and feeding from their mum. Dad is looking bashful, keeping the nest warm and occasionally popping out for a nut.
Yes, yes I know, knee deep in baby gerbils if we're not careful. We have a plan. We also have a soot-black young mother gerbil tenderly caring for her young, in between ripping up cardboard tubes.
